I first met Dr. Schwartz when he volunteered to visit me in the hospital, where I was in terrible shape, barely able to walk or think clearly. For 20-plus years, I had been struggling with the severe symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety and insomnia wrought by Lyme Disease, i.e. Borreliosis Bergdorferi–symptoms that became physically and psychologically disabling and destructive of my professional, emotional and social life. Today, unfortunately, there is no medically-proven “cure” for chronic Lyme disease. In desperation, I had resorted to alcohol consumption to relieve my pain and suffering –clearly not a reasonable solution!
Less than three months after rigorously testing, adjusting and adapting an array of conventional medial and “alternative” treatments, Dr. Schwartz has enabled me to regain almost full functionality, enjoying again the many aspects of life–golfing, biking, hiking and surfing–that I had virtually abandoned due to chronic pain and exhaustion.
